Managing a program in Project 2007

I'm running a major program with over 30 projects under the program.  I've inserted all the project plans in Project 2007 by clicking Insert, then Project.  A few questions:

1. How can I link a major milestone from one project in the master program plan to another project milestone in the program plan since I've inserted all the plans and each project begins with task #1?

2. The dates for some projects get messed up and show a few years out.  When I click on that project and view it, the dates go back to normal.  Has anyone seen this before?

3. Occasionally, I get prompted to save one of the projects in the program plan even though I haven't made a change and the project plans are updated and saved in a shared folder.  Does anyone know if I should say Yes to save it?  Would it do any harm to the project plan in the shared folder?

Thank you for any information that may help.

Re: Managing a program in Project 2007

I do not have an answer to your questions, but here is a link to a MS Project Community that should be able to answer your questions.

I hope this helps. Let us know if it does.
