The PMI Information Systems Specific Interest Group needs your help!
The success of our SIG is primarily due to those members who volunteer their time and experience. Volunteering is key to making our vision a reality, providing membership value and above all having fun.
Benefits of Volunteering:
- Exercising leadership skills
- Opportunity to earn PDUs
- Personal sense of achievement and accomplishment
- Network with other Project Managers
- To learn about PMI
- Understanding how the ISSIG works
- Grooming for other positions within the ISSIG
- Have fun while learning
Expected Time Commitment from Volunteers:
It should be noted that other than the elected Director positions, our volunteer opportunities generally require on average two to four hours of active participation (effort) per week. Some weeks may require no participation, while others may be four or more but overall it should be about two to four hours of effort per week.
Most positions will require a commitment of at least three months. Anything less than three elapsed months is highly unlikely as the PMI standard is to award one PDU for a minimum of three months voluntary service. Generally all volunteer positions require a one year commitment.
Volunteer Registration:
If you are interested in volunteering for the ISSIG, please send an email with a recent resume to volunteers@pmi-issig.org
While we do not have any specific positions listed at the moment, our Volunteer Coordinator will contact you as soon as positions become open.
