Abstract: Participants in this program will explore their own leadership style along with the competencies and behaviors necessary to meet the challenges of IT Leadership. This session is based on the 10 Leadership Competencies that Lou Russell identifies in her new book IT Leadership Alchemy :

Individuals attending this session are involved in one or more of the areas below:

1. Managing or supervising an IT-related department or function.
2. High potential candidates interested in positions of management.
3. Project leaders assigned to manage teams.

Bio: Lou Russell is president and CEO of Russell Martin & Associates, a consulting and training company focused on improving planning, process and performance in information technology organizations. Lou and her staff help their Fortune 500 clients understand that it’s not about the technology – it’s about what the technology does.

She is the author of The Accelerated Learning Fieldbook and Project Management for Trainers, and is currently working on IT Leadership Alchemy, due out in Fall 2002.
