Overview
Testing in today’s teams is often considered a black box (pun intended) by the Project Manager. The thinking goes that all of the risk is loaded in the development or construction phases and that testing is simply – well, testing. However, quite frequently projects go awry because the testing process is ill understood and quality goals are mismanaged.
Testing is a wonderfully complex activity that needs much more attention to plan and complete well. In this presentation, we’ll explore the “inside” of the software testing process—reviewing the different types of testing and exploring the unique challenges so the PM can better understand, plan, estimate, and collaborate with their testing teams.
In the end, we need to bring high quality products to market that meet the needs of our customers. Learn how to do that by improving your testing process understanding and team connection.
While this workshop is targeted toward Software Project Managers, it would also be useful for other software team leaders and stakeholders in improving their UNDERSTANDING of the complexity and challenges associated with software testing.
