Project Leadership: The next step in Project Management on the way to a Master Project Manager™

Presentation description:
It is no longer acceptable just to manage projects. It is important that the Project manager takes on a more of a leadership role on the project. This webinar we will investigate several key areas that differentiate a Project Manager from a Project Leader. We will provide some clarity around management and develop a framework to implement these ideas in projects. We will investigate how the latest thinking and techniques in leadership development can be easily molded to the needs of a project and in doing so will take the project manager to the next level. Through the use of examples, we will show how these techniques have been put into use with spectacular success.

Presentation abstract:
From my close work with many companies and governmental agencies I recognize that the best project managers may not be the ones with the greatest qualifications but have a certain ability to inspire and encourage individuals to achieve greater goals than even they thought possible. Through extensive interviews and conversations it has become clear that project management, although important, is not the final step. The project leadership is one of the main goals of those high achieving individuals who run projects. This webinar hopes to bring to light some of the important facts and misconceptions as well as to provide a path for individuals to start leading their projects instead of just managing them.
